Small Animal Veterinarian needed for state-of-the-art hospital in Akron
The AKRON PENINSULA VETERINARY OFFICE is seeking a 3rd Veterinarian to join our small animal general practice veterinary team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for animal care. Not only is this a superb opportunity to take your skills, experience, and knowledge to the next level within a well-established small animal veterinary office of over 40 years, but you'll also have access to work out of a 24,000 sq. ft., 24-hour, state of the art veterinary hospital called the Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital. Here, you'll have access to their high-end surgical and dental equipment, highly trained staff 24 hours a day for patient care, well-respected specialists to refer to, and a 24-hour top-notch ER team.
An outstanding Veterinarian will be responsible for doing wellness exams, treating sick patients, performing standard surgical procedures, and communicating compassionately with our exceptional clients. * Salary based on experience and part-time vs. full-time: we can do a straight salary or base with a commission.
* All dues paid (OVMA/AVMA/other) - PT/FT
* All license fees paid (Ohio/DEA/other)- PT/FT
* Liability insurance paid - PT/FT
* 401k - profit sharing program (vested after 1 year) - PT/FT
* PTO - 4 weeks (use some for CE) - FT
* CE compensation - $2,000/year - FT

Example of Full-time hours:
Monday: appointments: 8:30 am - noon and 2 pm - 5:30 pm
Tuesday: appointments: 8:30 am - noon and 2 pm - 5:30 pm
Wednesday: closed for surgery (we do our surgeries in the morning at the Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital) - usually a half-a-day.
Thursday: appointments: 8:30 am - noon and 2 pm - 5:30 pm
Friday: appointments: 8:30 am - noon and 2 pm - 5:30 pm
~associates have noon - 2 pm available to have lunch/do callbacks/charts/minor procedures and you are home for dinner!
**Average office appointments run for 20 minutes.
