Chesapeake College offers one full-time nursing position to begin August 2024. The program is seeking a qualified professional with expertise in medial surgical nursing and simulation pedagogy.  

 

Examples of Duties

In addition to full-time nursing faculty responsibilities, this position primarily includes developing and implementing simulated learning experiences for associate degree nursing students throughout the curriculum. These experiences are designed to assist students with applying theoretical knowledge, enhance the learning of basic and intermediate nursing skills, and develop critical thinking within the nursing process.

In support of Chesapeake College and the Nursing program, the incumbent will support the program’s DEI goals and initiatives including building and sustaining an inclusive working and learning environment for all students, staff, and faculty.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must hold current RN licensure in the state of Maryland, a minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing, and demonstrate a strong foundation in nursing theory and practice.  A Master's in Nursing Education or Post – Master's Certificate in Nursing Education is preferred.
