Sanitation Worker
Work involves the operation of medium and power-driven equipment involved in the collection of refuse and garbage. Employees are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or G.E.D. equivalent
- ORIGINAL diploma or official transcripts REQUIRED at time of application.
- Possession of a valid commercial driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Michigan with the proper indorsements (Class B with airbrake)
- Driving record must meet city’s standards for insurability
- Driver’s license REQUIRED with application
Pay rate: $25.37/hour - $28.37/hour (After 2 years)
Benefits include health, dental and life insurance, paid vacation and sick time.
