Journey-Level Electric Line Worker

Westby Electric & Water Utility, the electric-utility for the City of Westby, is accepting applications for a Journeyman or Apprentice Line Worker.  The ideal candidate must have a broad knowledge of electrical sub-stations and distribution systems, a certificate of completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program, and a current CDL license.  This position may require occasional after-hour callouts and possible work in inclement weather.  

Applicant must be able to respond to emergency situations in a reasonable response time and must reside within 15 miles of the Westby city limits (with one year to relocate, if necessary).  Knowledge of safety rules and good communication skills are very important.  An excellent benefit package includes health and dental insurance, Wisconsin State Retirement, paid holidays, vacation/sick/personal time.  The starting wage is based on experience and qualifications.
