Ensure the development, compliance, and certification of HACCP and other food safety programs for our manufacturing facility. Be accountable for HACCP & food safety training for the facility to ensure compliance and execution of required programs. Ensure the facility delivers the required standards of food safety according to Kellogg policies, procedures, and practices. Responsible for managing facility inspections. Direct, plan and implement traceability testing and monitoring. Responsible for vendor management related to food safety. Responsible for the microbial program compliance for the facility and the continued development and continuous improvement of such programs. Responsible for allergen program management for the facility and compliance. Responsible for the delivery of continuous improvement and working with Corporate Quality in the execution of company programs. Deliver these accountabilities through direct involvement with manufacturing support personnel. Ensure adherence to all standard work processes, including K-LEAN processes. Ensure compliance with all regulations, Food Safety at plant in proper sanitary condition at all times, including allergen control, pest control, guidelines followed and compliance with food safety policies and procedures. Responsible for MCRSA® (Management Control Report System) sustainability and ensuring achievement of all area/shift.
Key Performance: Indicator adherence to and continuous improvement of all area/shift MCRSA® elements. Maintain understanding of processes and functional interdependencies. Recognize and escalate, as needed, those issues identified as risks to, or opportunities to improve plant performance. Minimum of a Master's degree in Food Science or related field and four years of food safety or quality management experience required.
