Job Description Summary
Responsible for supervising, devising, planning, calendarizing, coordinating, and putting forth both general and specific work plans for the designated shift of Environmental Services staff and overseeing and leading all staff training, overseeing and checking the work of subordinate supervisors and staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- One to two years of college credit, combination of education and related experience for a total of four to five years.
- Successful completion of no less than one people handling skills course. Custodial or environmental services certification preferred, (not housekeeping). Carpet cleaning certification preferred. Multi-surface hard floor care program completion preferred. Quality control and/or work inspection program completion preferred.
- Unrestricted driver's license for use in driving college vehicles in the occasional transport of both equipment and personnel supervisory experience and hands-on custodial experience in commercial settings, educational preferred.

CRITERIA: The following criteria, which are not the sole criteria used in the final hiring decision, will be used to review the applications of those persons who meet the stated minimum qualifications and to select those qualified applicants who will be interviewed. - Supervises staff, assist with annual evaluation.
- Holds regular meetings with the supervisors and staff to convey the shift work plan. Personally leads and sets the example of leadership by directly supervising, initially leading as needed, and initiating guiding as needed any new, revised, or altered guidelines, work plans, practices or techniques to the Shift.
- Trains and guides the Environment Services Shift Supervisor.
- Leads in how to perform the duties and responsibilities of their positions.
- Handles the shift time and attendance.
- Keeps all updated daily, approves or disapproves all leave for the shift.
- Prepares written and verbal reports example supply requisitions, weekly reports, equipment, furniture inventory initiates and finalizes work orders and work request.
- Oversees, initiates, directed while ongoing; supervises, check, and lead corrective actions where required on; and subsequently reports on the dusting, cleaning, and treating as required of all office, classroom and other furniture.
- Oversees, initiates, directs sweeping, dry and/or wet mopping; refinishing, buffing and/or burnishing of floors.
- Supervises rooms, event equipment and furniture campus-wide, transports said equipment and furniture to and from locations as is. • Oversees, supervises, checks, and leads corrective actions where required on sweeping; mopping, disinfecting, sanitizing of restrooms, shower, and locker room and fitness areas. Ensures the washing and readiness in a timely fashion.
- Oversees uniforms ordering; record-keeping, in/out cleaning and replacement transition, and 3 overall handling his FM division, Works closely with FM management as a secondary formal contracts in reporting needs and issues.
- Oversees rental mat ordering, record keeping in/out cleaning and replacement transition.
- Oversees drip deodorization ordering; record keeping in/out servicing and equipment transition.
- Performs related work as required.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Primary hours of work will be: 10 pm to 6:30 am Monday night thru Friday night.
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment (buffers, waxers, etc.).
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for long periods of time.
- Applicant must be able to maintain good and have reliable transportation.
- Must be punctual and able to maintain good attendance.
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
- As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
