Job Summary

Under general supervision, provides administrative support to University Dining Services (UDS) and limited support to Conference Services. Work requires knowledge of the organization and the UDS operations and involves participation in the work of the Director of UDS. Incumbent is responsible for smooth office operations and functions independently where procedures have been established.

Authority and Accountability

This position reports directly to the director of UDS. There are no direct reports and no budget authority.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience: 2 years’ experience providing administrative support

Technical Skills required: Proficient in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: General knowledge of and skill in the practical application of generally accepted office practices and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to proofread and edit written documents. Skill in various computer software packages, such as word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation programs, internet, email and calendaring software. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external parties in a courteous and efficient manner. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with general instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency with internal systems including Workday, campus One Card, and inventory & production management.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with full benefits.  Starting salary is $18.57 per hour.
