Job Summary

This is a FTNTT faculty position.

Develop and teach each three Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution courses in both fall and spring semesters.  This will include a mixture of undergraduate and graduate courses.  Winter and summer teaching is available, but not required.  Demonstrate effective advising and mentoring of students in the undergraduate major and minor and, in addition, actively engage with graduate students in career development.  Promote the undergraduate and graduate programs on and off campus, support existing or develop new opportunities for experiential learning in the local community.  Maintain a robust scholarly agenda and conflict intervention practice, including students wherever possible.

Authority and Accountability

Faculty are expected to assist the Chair and Graduate Director in recruitment and retention of students and other duties as required to maintain a healthy department.  Provide service to the department, school and university on committees, and partake of department events and functions.  Represent the department in the community and in professional organizations.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

MA or PhD in Conflict Resolution or related field. 

Preferred Qualifications

Accepting applications from qualified candidates with MA or Ph.D. in Conflict Resolution or closely related field where a major portion of course work and dissertation research is in conflict resolution. Candidates with a background in one or more of the following is preferred: environmental conflict resolution, systemic change in rights-based judicial forums, community-oriented practices, diversity and inclusion, and productive nonviolent social change.
