Job Summary

This position exists to ensure that planning sessions take place on a regular basis for conducting short- and long-range facility space and master planning and lead Facility Program Part I and Part II studies for all State and USM funded projects.  The position will develop and maintain databases for physical inventories such as buildings, floor plans, space (square footage) inventories, etc.; maintain and update the university master maps, floor plans, and GIS database; and manage the campus space utilization and allocation programs.  This position shall serve on the Facilities Management Advisory Committee (FMAC) and serve as the University ADA Coordinator.

Authority and Accountability

This position reports to the Associate Vice President of Facilities and Capital Management and will supervise student workers responsible for space data collection.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

This position requires 5 years of work experience along with a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Geographic Information Science, or similar area. Proficiency with AutoCAD and GIS software is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency with ArcGIS software is preferred.

This is a full-time exempt State position with a full benefits package. The salary will be commensurate with experience & qualifications.
