Job Summary:
The Cultivation Technician is expected to participate in cultivation activities such as watering, pruning, transplanting, cleaning, and waste disposal of medicinal product. Solid organization and a good work ethic is a must. This is a manual labor position operating within a warehouse reporting directly to the Cultivation Manager and Cultivation Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Understanding of The Botanist rules and NJMMP regulations
- Facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary
- Comply with all company policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure
- Comprehensive knowledge of strains and understanding of potential benefits
- Maintain clean work environment
- Comprehensive and working knowledge of all stages in cannabis cultivation on a large manufacturing scale and ability to apply this knowledge to The Botanist settings and workflow, including: Cloning, Nursery, Veg Flower.
- Direct supervision and accountable for The Botanist Cloning, Nursery, and Veg cultivation stages
- Proficient in execution of all grow tasks including: Cloning, Feeding, Topping, Inventory Management, Transplanting, Defoliation, Flushing, Waste Disposal
- Maintain grow records as directed
- Input and update required and appropriate grow and plant information into Biotrack as directed
- Perform grow reports, projection reports, inventory reports, and Biotrack reports as directed and needed
- Maintain and execute nutrient regiment and watering schedules
- Maintain and manage plant schedule and grow organization
- Identify and report potential issues immediately to Cultivation Manager
- Execute preventative plant maintenance as needed and directed
- Proficient knowledge of various cultivation methods and grow techniques; temperature and humidity maintenance; continuing education of best industry practices
- Maintain all grow/cultivation areas; identify problems; recommend changes as needed
- Identify plant diseases and insects; recommend and implement plant treatment options
- Assist with audits as directed and needed
- Assist Cultivation Manager in management, development, and execution of day to day large-scale warehouse, grow, and cultivation activities
- Assist Cultivation Manager with cultivation schedules; grow organization; nutrient and watering regiments; develop, execution, and maintenance of all plant management policies and procedures
- Assist Cultivation Manager in overseeing and training grow employees
- Assist the Cultivation Manager in tasks as directed and needed
