Job Description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecologyat the UMKC School of Medicineseeks aResearchAssistant with excellent cell/molecular biology, histology/immunohistochemistry/ in situ hybridization, and animal experiment skills toparticipate in research projects related to placental diseases and pregnancy complications.

Duties:

Performingmolecular, cell biology, histology, and animal experiments;

Assisting the PI and other researchers in different research projects in the lab;

Coordinating with clinical research teams;analyzing and interpreting research results;

Participating in the preparation of manuscripts;

Developing and participating in scientific research projects as needed,

Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

Research experience in the field of reproductive biology and advanced molecular biology techniques is desirable but not essential.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary range is $20-30 /hour

Other Information

This is a temporary, part time position, approximately 25-29 hours per week. Initial contract is 3 months with potential to renew.
