The Department of Medicine's Renal-Electrolyte Division along with the Starzl Transplantation Institute is hiring an Assistant Professor, non-tenure stream, for a Transplant Nephrologist position. Candidates must be ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology; licensed to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; possess exceptional clinical knowledge of clinical acumen; and be committed to teaching and in-patient and ambulatory patient care. Physicians will support the Nephrology Transplant Fellowship program, and support trainees that are assigned to the Nephrology Transplant rotation.

General rank requirements: An assistant professor should have demonstrated teaching ability, experience in advanced study and research, or professional experience of a kind that would enable them to make an academic contribution. The assistant professor should possess a doctoral or appropriate professional degree (MD or DO). They should exhibit promise of originality and excellence in some field of scholarship and should have demonstrated ability in guiding and counseling students. To be appointed or promoted to an assistant professorship, a person should have the potential for promotion to associate professor.
