CST Social Worker
The successful candidate is required to reside in New Jersey within one year of employment.

Duties: Reports to the Director of Special Education; serves as a member of the Child Study Team and works with other team members to determine eligibility and develop appropriate individualized education plans in accordance with NJAC 6A:14; completes social histories as part of the eligibility process; works extensively with students and families to promote social and emotional growth; works with teachers and staff to increase understanding of student emotional concerns; assists families with referrals and connections to community agencies; provides counseling to students in an individual and group setting; assists students with coping and accountability tools to encourage school success; conducts home visits as necessary; inputs data into the district special education database program; performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements: N.J. School Social Worker certification. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues and resources involving adolescents and younger children. Strong computer literacy.
