Campaign Associate (Development)
Under direction, the Campaign Associate provides project, strategic and administrative support for Capital Campaign efforts and assists with streamlining the activities of the Campaign Office. This role provides coordination and logistical support for Board and donor related activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Under direction, assists in developing and implementing strategic fundraising plans and best practices for the capital campaign.
- Serves as administrative liaison between Board members, fundraising committees and WCM leadership.
- Responsible for board and donor related activities, including scheduling and coordinating meetings, drafting agendas, minutes, briefings, presentations and fundraising analyses.
- Serves as fundraising liaison to Dean's office for schedule arrangements and strategy. Prepares all debriefs and disseminates staff assignments emerging from meetings and communications with Dean.
- Assists with planning all aspects of the capital campaign launch and other campaign events.
- Works closely with Campaign team to develop and maintain all shared communications and management systems.
- Provides backup administrative support and performs special projects as assigned.
Education
- High School Diploma
Experience
- Associate's degree is preferred; Bachelor's degree is highly desired.
- Approximately 2+ years of related work experience.
- Previous capital campaign experience at large medical center, non-profit or university desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with general principles of development.
- Poise, comfort and confidentiality dealing with prominent individuals (e.g. donors, executives, senior academic/faculty) from a range of cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to treat confidential information with utmost discretion.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite, and fundraising database applications.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with other staff.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Some evening and weekend work for events may be required.
